In my plays I made it a point to only use sniper rifles; in the case of ITAP I used the one already provided in the map and hit the target from a balcony. Would the crossbow be considered sniper, or a separate category of its own? And if it is, what about a scoped Silverballer or any weapon fired long range? Something to consider as some players may have a differing opinion of what is required.

Yes I think crossbows should definitely be considered as sniper weapons. But not a scoped pistol since it's not a sniper by default. Nice sniper walkthrough btw!

Thanks Kotti, it's going to be great to have a leaderboard for every single Hitman game even if the first and last one aren't very speedrun friendly. I also have a better time for The King of Chinatown in Absolution which is 2 seconds faster than the one you listed: [HITMAN 5] Speedrun Purist/SA #2 - 0:43.20I was using the strat you found if I remember correctly. It can be improved easily since I didn't even restart the first checkpoint.

I took the liberty of fixing the error in C47 table which put the Traditions of the Trade record into Kowloon Triads in Gang War bracket. Also, I don't think C47 is particularly speedrun unfriendly, the problem is that a lot of the individual level records have been already set by a certain CannibalK9 - his record is available on SDA, and it's segmented. The times I've posted are the ones that I've fixed, but there are some that are pretty difficult to find more efficient methods for, so I didn't tackle them yet until I found out how to do them more effectively. And you can't post Cannibal's individual videos because he's posted the whole run on SDA in a montage. It's not really speedrun unfriendly, more like nobody really bothers with C47.

Added Codename 47 and Absolution. In case of C47 I included a link to CannibalK9's run but didn't add the individual level times to the table as his run was on normal difficulty. Also marked all the missing levels with orange so anyone who wants free records can go grab them more easily.

Good job Kotti with the leaderboards, thank you.
EDIT: Just one little thing, I think you can remove Redemption at Gontranno for the H2:SA AZ leaderboard since there's no stats at the end and a AZ run would be impossible anyway since you have to kill all guards and they are counted as enemies.

I can't post runs (pc hates me) but I have a suggestion for Kotti's curtains down run:you can garotte Alvaro D'Alvade while you are on the ledge and it will skip the animation and the body won't get noticed(i tried it using a strat with one bomb, and it gave me SA).

Download Dxtory (If you can't afford it just well you know) , then use the Lagarith Lossless Codec, It's literally the best thing to record with ever, with Fraps I would get maybe 40-50 FPS Now I get 100+ FPS when recording, would recommend I r8 8/8 m8.

New time for Hitman 2 - Temple City Ambush: 1:31 in Pro/SA. This mission is a nightmare to run, everything is random.

OK, so I've asked pac___ to add Hitman series to games on speedrun.com. He did that and I've already added most of the stuff required for submitting runs in there (images for games, categories, level names etc.) - I'm still not entirely sure whatever SA should be a category, or should we treat it as any% and simply add variables for filtering (we could also add variables like SO/AO etc. - it's not really creating new run categories, but if someone for example doesn't feel like running Full-Game Pro/SA - he could always try for example Expert or Normal and be still listed on leaderboards with his time). Either way - we'll see how it works out. I do like the submission process to be honest - the site does most of the things for you, which is nice. And it lists each player's PB on leaderboards - so even if someone's run is not that great, he can compare it easily to other players. So bottom line - I like it. Most people probably won't like it, though. www.speedrun.com/hitman

That sites URL doesn't work for me, any ideas why? Edit: Works now

Ok, so I think I've finished adding everything we had for all the 4 Hitman games (excluding Absolution). I have honestly no idea what to do with Absolution, though. If someone would like to add their own times to any of the Hitman games (even if they are not WR), you can easily do that on speedrun.com, as the system is really easy and nicely automated. I'm also looking for moderators for Hitman series, if someone would like to have some more power, but keep in mind - we haven't decided whatever we'll be focusing as much on speedrun.com leaderboard, as much as we're focusing on our google doc. On a sidenote - currently, verifying runs is disabled, so any submitted run should be directly approved at speedrun.com Another thing - I've also added Empty Splits to Hitman: Contracts, so that people who start running it, don't have to type in all of the names of the levels, manually.

I have a new WR in Lee Hong Assassination from Hitman: Contracts. My time is 1:53; one second faster than the pure speed record and five seconds faster than the AZ record. I found out that M1rk3's time is incorrectly entered in the spreadsheet as 1:50. I figured likewise because his video is really blurry, but it's actually 1:58 as I discovered in a post that was made on the old HitmanForum where the correct time is displayed next to the same video.

Hey, HitGod. Thanks for pointing it out. I see the time on GoogleDoc was already updated. I've also updated the times on Speedrun.com (although, I know, I haven't been putting enough effort into it, recently). Anyway, nice job!
