Hitman Blood Money - Silent Assassin rating requirements
The rating system is more lenient on lower difficulties, this explanation focuses on Pro difficulty only.
By default your rating is Silent Assassin and certain events will lower it. The following will affect the rating:
- Killing and injuring non-target NPCs. If your stats are otherwise good but you kill someone or even scratch someone with a bullet or an explosion, you will lose SA. Accidents do not count as kills so it is possible to push every NPC in a level off a cliff and get Silent Assassin.
- Witnesses. If an NPC sees you commit a crime he will become a witness and having that at the end of a level you will lose SA. Having a gun/fiber wire/syringe/mine out, picking a lock and attacking someone are the most common witnessable acts. Trespassing however is not witnessable. Guards will start shooting at you for trespassing but they do not become witnesses. You can get rid of witnesses by making them die to accidents. Dogs count as witnesses but killing them doesn't add to the kill counter.
- Bodies found. If a body is found you lose SA. Unconscious bodies also affect the rating but don't show up on the stats screen. Bodies left by accidents do not show up on the stats screen or affect the rating.
- Covers blown. If you're seen commiting a witnessable act or if guards start shooting at you for trespassing while you are wearing a disguise, your cover will be blown and you lose SA. Your own default suit does not count as a cover and can not be blown.
- Getting caught on camera. Stealing the video tape before or after getting caught on camera with will allow you to still get SA.
- Leaving custom guns or the suit behind. You must finish the level with all custom guns and in the suit to get SA. You can also leave guns to the ICA box.
