Hello all, I was at CJ's stream, and it it hit me, I know that the folks (UKnighted, ThreeDogg, etc.) tend to sometimes do a Metal Gear Solid marathon (to great acclaim), and I was wondering why not the Hitman series of games? So I thought (not really pitched, just openly thought out aloud) what if some of us get together and knock out a marathon only involving Hitman games? I know I could play CN47 and BM, we could task out games to the better player/person who wants to play it, and just stream a full marathon (to include cutscenes) of these awesome games. Maybe it could get the name out for the Hitman series of games for others to want to play it? Maybe it could grow our community? But either way, it might be awesome to have new fans exposed to the series (and DEFINITELY the earlier games, which were better ). So, what do you guys think of the idea? Would anyone be interested? Feel free to post up on thoughts of this (good, bad, indifferent), and if there are people interested, let's try this out (we could even make a Hitman game specific stream for this, if need be)! Hit me back either way, and thanks! - PJ (pjlx911, aka: pjalmighty42)

This is a really cool idea, but the problem would be with execution, IMHO: [*]C47 isn't a particularly exciting game to single-segment: a couple of missions are very straightforward (particularly the early ones) and some of them require you to wait out a long amount of time (Kowloon's, Gunrunner's, and arguably the entire Colombian arc gets very boring with running around a lot). In my humble opinion, there isn't a lot of finesse, and thus entertainment to watch, in a H1 speedrun, as exploitable and buggy (in a good way, most of the time) that game is. [*]H2:SA is a damn fine game, but I know nobody who currently has ever tried single segment runs of it on the SA rank. It's a very long game (20 missions) with some inconsistent mechanics, and missions that are utterly brutal to get SA on consistently in a good time (the latter half of the game, starting from Japanese arc, is one tough mission after another). We'd need to figure out consistent SA strats for H2 and have someone with some practice. [*]The other games don't suffer from that problem much.
If I could stream, I'd be playing a ton of either of the first three games, being quite proficient in H1 and H3 at the very least, but as such, I don't think I can offer much to that project, as cool and fun it sounds.

[*]H2:SA I'm speedruning it in SS. I'm trying to get it under 45:00 RTA so I'm cool for that one I don't think that I would handle the stream or somebody might help me with it...
Or 1:30:00 in SA

Oh, no worries. I'm really just throwing out a feeler to see if there's any interest. Not necessarily thinking this would be us trying to speedrun the games, just playthrough them for the audience (although you could use some speedrun strats if you want). The basic idea is that it's a story run for fun and enjoyment of the Hitman games (was the reason why I brought up the MGS guys) and basically to have fun with playing the games and not have it be so serious/stressful about it.
